Graphic design helps support the greater goal of communicating.

As a member of development teams, I've collaborated to ensure that the various design media support the overall message. This is particularly true in marketing contexts. It has been rewarding to contribute to developing communication strategies including the written and spoken word.

I've focused many of these skills toward the development of several projects related to international expositions.

ExpoMuseum.com, which I founded in 1998, now receives over 20,000 unique visitors each month. Through its discussion group and blog, it's become the source for a growing community of world's fair enthusiasts as well as an online destination for information regarding international expositions, both past and future.

As a historian and advocate of world's fairs, I've been interviewed by both print and television media.

I've also leveraged the power of internet communications to advocate for a San Francisco Pavilion at Expo 2010, encourage the return of the United States as a member of the Bureau International des Expositions, as well as to inspire San Franciscans to prepare a bid for an exposition in 2020.
